The view, the view, the view . . . of the ocean. It is right off of the freeway, and it is a narrow hotel, so you hear traffic from the highway as well. Keep the window facing the highway closed and you're okay.
Our room smelled musky, old, and I could not get the smell out of the room. Perhaps it was just our room.
Best view from any place in the hotel.
The only thing this place has to offer is the location, at the oceanside. Rooms are okay. For 140 dollars its nt a great place to stay.
We listened to the ocean while we slept! The hotel is isolated away from the cities. We spent 2 days in paradise.
Bring your own towels; their towels were scratchy.
need more clean around the hotel and facility. take out old ice curb(not working}.
The location is amazing and the outdoor breakfast a real highlight
The beds are older and not very comfortable / the shower has a nozzle that hits you in the belly with water that goes from hot to cold throughout the entire showering time / booked king room but got a queen room instead since ours was sold to a walk in.
The view was absolutely superb! You can't beat the location. The people were very, very nice and the food at the restaurant was sooooooooo delicious.
There was no one around at the continental breakfast. You need sturdier plates and put out more coffee creamer. One of the employees tried several times to get into our room. He was using the wrong key and trying to get other guests in our room!. He should consult the register before bothering guests.
Location is just perfect, if you go there it would be mainly for the location!
Rooms are dated, I would say too expensive for what you get, but it's all about the location. Restaurant is quite expensive.
Right on the water, sound of the waves all night
Way too expensive. $130 for a cheap motel with an ocean view? Please...
Very good dinner; ambience of sitting outside right along the ocean and having dinner was really a nice way to experience the outside and eat.
Need better directions on how to find the Hotel. The crossing from the freeway is extremely dangerous
You are on the beach the view is incredible Food at the restaurant is good
The place is literally falling down around the guests Plumbing is erratic (Hot and cold at different times) When someone was mowing the lawn the lights in our room dimmed The floor tilts as does the balconies Peeling paint is unattractive Lounge pads are very thin I don't think this hotel is safe We won't be staying here again
The reviews were not particularly encouraging so I was somewhat reluctant to book. The room was charming and the view was stunning! We arrived around 2 pm (which I recommend) so you have maximum time to lounge on the outdoor chairs and enjoy the ocean. Because they have a restaurant on-site with very good food at reasonable prices, we never had to leave the premises to go find dinner. A lovely couple celebrating their 50th anniversary shared their champagne with the other half dozen patrons; which I attributed to the cozy and intimate nature of the dining room. Yes the hotel is old and the walkways slant toward the sea, but we were so very happy with our stay there and would recommend it to anyone!
The location of this motel is lovely in that you are situated right on the oceanfront. You can eat outside by the water and enjoy the view and the sound of the waves. It has easy access from Pacific Highway 1. The complimentary breakfast was nice to have.
The room was very small. We could hear the guests in the room above us as well as the guests on the balcony. The hotel is rundown and tired- looking. It is in need of some serious updating. We could hear the showers running in the rooms around us. The online write-up indicated the rooms offered beautiful sleigh beds. This was not the case in our room. We ate at the motel's restaurant. The food was good but there was not much of it.
